Mendoza (pronounced [menˈdosa] in Spanish), formally known as the Province of Mendoza, is a province in Argentina located in the Cuyo region of the country’s western center. It shares borders with the republic of Chile to the west, San Juan to the north, La Pampa and Neuquén to the south, San Luis to the east, and the Andes mountain range to the west, which denotes its international boundary. Mendoza, which bears the same name, serves as its capital.
