Situated in northern Patagonia, Argentina, Viedma serves as the capital and fourth largest city of the Río Negro Province. With 59,993 residents as of 2022, the city is situated on the southern bank of the Negro River, 960 kilometers on National Route 3 from Buenos Aires, and roughly 30 kilometers from the Atlantic coast.
