Out of the four governorates in Bahrain, the Southern Governorate has the fewest population and the greatest territory. Al Mintaqah al Gharbiyah, Ar Rifa’ wa al Mintaqah al Janubiyah, and Juzur Hawar are some of the old municipalities of Bahrain that are included in it. Out of all the regions on Bahrain, it has the least population.Less than 10% of Bahrain’s 1.5 million residents live in the Southern Governorate, although making up over two thirds of the country’s total territory. The Hawar Islands and the cities of Riffa and Sitrah are included in the governorate’s administrative boundaries.
