One of Canada’s thirteen provinces and territories is Quebec. It is the second-biggest province in terms of people and the largest in terms of area[b].

Quebec lies in Central Canada, with a land size of 1.7 million square kilometers and more than 12,000 kilometers of boundaries in North America. The province borders the territory of Nunavut on the coast, the provinces of Ontario to the west, Newfoundland and Labrador to the northeast, and New Brunswick to the southeast on land. It is surrounded by the Atlantic, Arctic, and Hudson Bays to the north, as well as the Hudson Strait, Ungava Bay, and the United States to the south.
