In the New Territories of Hong Kong, Ma On Shan is a recently established settlement situated on the eastern shore of Tolo Harbour. Despite being formerly a part of Sha Tin New Town, it now has its own town center and a number of government buildings, and government publications now list it as a distinct new town. It is within Sha Tin District’s administrative jurisdiction.
