One of the Andaman Islands’ islands is called Interview Island. It is a portion of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands’ Indian union territory, namely the North and Middle Andaman administrative district. It is located 78 miles (125 km) north of Port Blair.

Past Events
The 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake caused a tsunami that flooded a large portion of the island, including the lighthouse. Though it was eventually restored, the lighthouse was first stated to have been “completely destroyed” The permanent occupants of the wildlife station, which monitored birds, were situated close to the lighthouse on the west shore until 2015.
