It serves as the headquarters of Kadiri Mandal and the Kadiri Revenue Division and is a Special Grade Municipal City Council. When Andhra Pradesh had a taluka system, Kadiri Taluka (also known as “Tehsil”) was the state’s largest taluk.Flowers like saffron and jasmine are popular in Kadiri. Karnataka and Andhra regions are big sellers of Kadiri saffron. For the people of Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Karnataka, the Sri Lakshmi Narasimhaswamy Temple is reminiscent of Kadiri. The name Kadiri has a fascinating history as well. Khadripuram (Telugu: ఖాద్రీపురం) was the original name of the settlement because most of the “khadara” plants were discovered in the nearby forests. Later, Khadri changed its name to Kadiri.
