A city in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh is called Tirupati (/ˈtɪrʊpɒtɪ/). It serves as the Tirupati district’s administrative center. The city is home to several ancient temples, including the significant Hindu shrine known as Tirumala Venkateshwara Temple.[8] 150 kilometers separate it from Chennai, 250 km from Bangalore, and 406 km separate it from Amaravati. It is one of the eight Self-Manifested Temples (also known as Svayam vyakta kshetras) devoted to Vishnu. Tirupati is a municipal corporation that serves as the hub for the Tirupati revenue division, Tirupati (rural) mandal, and Tirupati (urban) mandal.
