Changlang district (pronounced /tʃaeŋˈlaeŋ/) is located in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh, south of Lohit district and north of Tirap district. Naga people live here. As of 2011, it is the second most populous district in Arunachal Pradesh (out of 16), following Papum Pare. It has grown into one of the area’s most important districts due to the availability of crude oil, coal, and mineral resources, in addition to tourism and hydropower.
