In the southeast of the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh sits the district known as Tirap. Along with Assam, it borders Myanmar internationally, Changlang and Longding on the district level, and Myanmar on the state level.
Past Events
The forefathers of the indigenous tribes have lived in Tirap since the beginning of time.
The region was briefly freed in 1945 by the Indian National Army under the command of Subhash Chandra Bose, with Japanese military assistance, before to the fall of the Japanese Empire. The Silombhu War Cave served as the Transit Camp for the British colonial Allies during World War Following their downfall, Suman Gope assumed authority.
