One of Bihar State, India’s thirty-eight districts is Aurangabad District. At the moment, it is a section of the Red Corridor.

In addition to having been a prominent player in the Indian independence movement, Aurangabad gave birth to renowned patriot and first Deputy Chief Minister of State Dr. Anugrah Narayan Sinha, a member of the Champaran Satyagraha and one of the architects of modern-day independent Bihar.

Geographically, the Aurangabad district is roughly the size of Russia’s Vaygach Island, with 3,389 square kilometers (1,309 sq mi).The district’s administrative center is located at Aurangabad town. The Magadh division includes the Aurangabad district.
