The subdivisional headquarters of Biraul subdivision, which spans six blocks in the Indian state of Bihar’s Darbhanga district, is located in Biraul. Biraul, Gorabauram, Ghanshyampur, Kiratpur, Kusheshwar Asthan, and Kusheshwar Asthan East are the blocks. The southeast of the Darbhanga district is encompassed by this region.

It is intended that the headquarters building would be built in the Uchhati village’s Mauza neighborhood. Near this headquarters, a new route is to be built to connect Darbhanga with Saharsa. Biraul is a railhead as well. A 36-kilometer new rail line has been built to connect Biraul and the Sakri junction. In 2008, the line was launched. Every day, three passenger trains operate on this line.
