In the Aurangabad district of Bihar state, India’s Magadh division has the town of Daudnagar (also known as Dāūdanagara), which serves as the subdivisional headquarters for the Daudnagar Subdivision. In the Aurangabad district, there was just one subdivision—Aurangabad Sadar—up to 1991. Another subdivision, Daudnagar, was established on March 31, 1991. Situated on the eastern bank of the Son River, Daudnagar boasts an old historical fort that serves as a living testament to its 200-year history.[4] The town is traversed by National Highway NH139, which links Patna with the Palamu district of Jharkhand.
