Gidhaur, a tiny town in Bihar’s Jamui District, is sometimes referred to as Patsanda. It served as the Gidhaur chieftaincy’s center in the early modern era.

Past Events
This princely state was established in 1266 AD by Raja Bir Bikram Shah, a member of the Chandel Rajput Dynasty, who had vanquished the native ruler Nagoria.[1] He then began to enlarge his realm. He was Raja of Bardi from Singrauli’s younger brother. Over six centuries were spent under the authority of the Chandel Rajput dynasty in Gidhaur. The Baidyanath Dham temple at Deoghar is believed to have been constructed in 1596 by Raja Puran Mal, the ninth descendant of this dynasty.
