On NH-139 (Patna-Aurangabad), Obra is a tiny town located 15 kilometers from the district seat. The geographic block is divided by the districts of Rohtas in the west and Daudnagar, Rafiganj, and Aurangabad in the east and south. The town’s typical undulating topography is found on the plain of the Son river bed, which is noted for its exceptionally rich land. The town is situated on the junction of the Punpun and Adri rivers.
