Baloda Baza-: Bhatapara is a district in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh, with Baloda Bazar serving as its seat. It was formerly a part of the Raipur district. The districts of Bemetara, Mungeli, Bilaspur, Janjgir, Raigarh, Mahasamund, and Raipur are all touched by the boundary of the Balodabazar-Bhatapara district. As per the prevailing custom about the nomenclature of the Balodabazar in the past, traders from various states such as Gujarat, Haryana, Maharashtra, Orissa, Barar, etc. used to congregate in the city’s market to sell buffalo, or bodas. Consequently, its moniker gained popularity as the Baloda Bazaar and the bullboda market names.
