The district of Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur is located in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh.It was in the Korea district before. On September 9, 2022, Shri Bhupesh Baghel, the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh State, officially opened Manendragarh as a separate district. Manendragarh serves as the district’s administrative center.
The district is located in the Surguja division in the northwest of Chhattisgarh. It shares boundaries with the districts of Koriya and Surajpur to the east, Madhya Pradesh to the north and west, and Korba and Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi to the south. It is mostly inhabited by tribes and is mountainous and forested. Prior to Korean independence, the area was a part of the princely realms of Changbhakar and Korea.
The district is divided into six tehsils: Manendragarh, Bharatpur, Khadgawan, Chirmiri, Kelhari, and Kotadol. It also includes three subdivisions: Bharatpur, Manendragarh, and Khadganwan.
