The state of Chhattisgarh contains the cities and district of Sakti. Formerly the sole Education District in Chhattisgarh, District Sakti now has 33 assembly constituencies. Sakti district consists of 458 villages and 245 panchayats. Sakti district was established on August 15, 2021, and Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel officially declared it to be a district on September 9, 2022. Shri Charan Das Mahant, the Speaker of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly, is the current MLA for this district for the years 2018–2023. First Superintendent of Police is M.R. Ahire I.P.S., First District Education Officer is B.L. K., and First Collector and District Magistrate of Sakti is Nupur Rashi Panna I.A.S.
