India is a land of festivals, with Chhath Puja being the most significant. All of India’s festivals are observed with unbridled zeal and devotion. The Hindu Vedic festival of Chhath Puja is widely observed in the states of North India. Held twice a year in the months of Chaitra (March–April) and Kartika (October–November), the festival is devoted to the Sun God. The four-day Chhath Puja celebrations are dedicated to the belief that worshiping the sun and dipping into the Ganga’s sacred waters will bring prosperity, longevity, and overall well-being. This large-scale celebration promotes thrift and a fast from food and liquids. Every day of the four-day celebration, there are several rituals performed, including: 1. Nahay Khay (Chaturthi) 2. Lohanda or Kharna 3. Arghya Sandhya 4. Usha An Arghya During Chhath Puja, sweets, Kheer, Thekua, Kasar, and seasonal fruits are among the prasad that are served.
Actions

Four days are dedicated to observing the ceremonies. These consist of taking a holy bath, standing in water, fasting and refraining from drinking, and making arghya and prasad offerings to the rising and setting sun. In addition, some devotees march in prostration toward the riverbank
