Anand District, also known as Charotar, is an administrative district of Gujarat state in western India. In 1997, it was separated from the Kheda district. The district’s administrative center is located at Anand. Its borders are the Gulf of Khambhat to the south, Ahmedabad District to the west, Vadodara District to the east, and Kheda District to the north. Umreth, Khambhat, Karamsad, Tarapur, Petlad, Borsad, and Sojitra are important towns.
