In the Indian state of Gujarat, Anjar is a town, township, and municipality located in the Kachchh district (Kutch). Anjar is a historically significant, culturally varied town that was founded in 650 AD. Many old religious temples may be found there, such as the Jesal-Toral Shrines, which were constructed in honor of a couple from the fourteenth century whose life stories served as inspiration for numerous artworks and motion pictures. Numerous earthquakes, notably those that struck Gujarat in 2001 and the Rann of Kutch in 1819, completely destroyed the town. Anjar has developed as a center for manufacturing activity in recent years.
