Bharuch, historically known as Broach, is a district in Gujarat, India, that is similar in area and population to Greater Boston. It is located in the southern portion of the Kathiawar peninsula on the state’s west coast. Bhrigu, the well-known Hindu guru, is the source of Bharuch’s name. ‘Bhrigukachchha’ is another name for Bharuch in the past. According to legend, Bhrigu Rishi was one of Brahma’s ten sons. Additionally, there is a legend that suggests Bhrigu and his family requested temporary entry to Bharuch, which is believed to be Lakshmi’s property because it is situated on the banks of the Narmada River, also called Rudra Deha.mbat
