.Khambhat (/kɑ˞m̈bɑːt/, Gujarati: [kʰəmbʱɑt, commonly referred to as Cambay, is a city in the Anand district of an Indian state called Gujarat.Once upon a time, it was a significant trading hub, but as its harbor progressively filled in, the maritime traffic shifted to Surat. At the northern tip of the Gulf of Khambhat, Khambat is situated on an alluvial plain that is renowned for its dramatic tidal fluctuations, which can range up to thirty feet in the surrounding area. Khambat is well-known for its gas and oil resources, as well as for its halvasan sweet, sutarfeni, akik stone, and kites (patang).
Perhaps the only site in India where the living still practice the Harappan art of creating agate beads is Khambat
