One of the 22 districts in the northern Indian state of Haryana is Bhiwani district. When Charkhi Dadri was established as a distinct district, on December 22, 1972, it was the largest district in the state by area, covering 4,778 square kilometers (1,845 sq mi) and managing 442 villages with 1,634,445 residents. Currently, Sirsa is the state’s largest district.

The national capital of Delhi is around 124 kilometers (77 miles) away from the district headquarters, which is located in the city of Bhiwani. The districts Siwani, Loharu, Tosham, Bawani Khera, Kohlawas, and Lamba are other important towns.

After Faridabad and Hisar, it is the third most populated district in Haryana (out of 21) as of 2011.
