August 15, 2008, saw the creation of the Palwal district. In the northern Indian area of Delhi NCR, it is the 21st district in the state of Haryana. The district’s headquarters are at Palwal City. It’s included in the Braj area.

On the Delhi-Agra national highway, the city is located 60 km (37 km) from Delhi, 29 km (18 mi) from Faridabad, and 50 km (31 mi) from Gurugram. The city has a 40 km2 area.
