The Indian state of Haryana contains the district of Rohtak. It is surrounded by the districts of Jind and Sonipat to the north, Jhajjar and Sonipat to the east, and Hissar, Charkhi Dadri, and Bhiwani to the west. It is situated in the northwest of Delhi and in the southeast of the state. The district office is located in Rohtak City.
