In the disputed Kashmir area, Kupwara district is an administrative district of Jammu and Kashmir, which is governed by India.[1] It’s one of the ten districts that make up the Kashmir Valley Division, which is under Indian administration. The district’s two principal rivers are the Pohru River, which rises in Lolab Valley and flows east to west, and the Mawar River. The Jhelum River meets both of them in the Baramulla district.
