Udhampur is an administrative district in the Jammu division of Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir, located in the disputed Kashmir region. The district, which covers an area of 4,550 square kilometers (1,760 square miles) in the Himalayan Himalayas, is headquartered in Udhampur. The district hosts the Indian Army’s Northern Command headquarters.
