The administrative center of Simdega district, one of the 24 districts in the Indian state of Jharkhand, is Simdega town. After the districts of Lohardaga and Khunti, this one has the least population density and is the third least populous in Jharkhand as of 2011 The Gumla district was divided into the Simdega district on April 30, 2001. Right now, it’s a section of the Red Corridor.
