Devanahalli, also known as “Devandahalli,” “Dyaavandalli,” “Devanadoddi,” and “Devanapura,” is a town in the Bengaluru Rural district of the Indian state of Karnataka. It also has a Town Municipal Council The town is situated northwest of Bengaluru, at a distance of 40 km (25 mi). The location of Kempegowda International Airport is Devanahalli. Two IT parks and a multibillion-dollar Devanahalli Business Park are being built on around 400 acres (1.6 km2) next to the airport. There are also plans to build a ₹10 billion (US$120 million) Financial City, an Aerospace Park, and a Science Park. The city and Doddaballapur will be connected by a brand-new satellite ring road. Devanahalli is located close to the proposed 12,000-acre (49 km2), ₹1,500 billion (US$18 billion) BIAL IT Investment Region, which is expected to be India’s largest IT region.
