In the Chamarajanagar district of Karnataka, India, sits the municipal town of Gundlupet, also known as Gundlupētē in Kannada. It goes by the name “The Flower Pot of India” as well. Situated on NH 766, it is roughly 200 miles from Bengaluru, the state administrative seat, and 60 km from Mysuru. The last town in Karnataka on the National Highway 766, which passes via Kozhikode, Mysore, Ooty, and Wayanad, is Gundlupet. It is located extremely close to the state boundaries of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. NH 181 travels via Ooty and Coimbatore before ending in Nagapattinam, Tamil Nadu, from Gundlupet.[1]
