Karnataka, an Indian state, has the district of Uttara Kannada. It is the third largest district in Karnataka and a significant coastline district. The Laccadive Sea borders it to the west, the state of Goa and the districts of Belagavi and Dharwad to the east, the districts of Haveri and Shivamogga to the south, and the districts of Udupi and Udupi to the west.
