One of the 31 districts that make up the southern Indian state of Karnataka is Yadgir District.On April 10, 2010, this district was created by splitting from Kalaburagi district to become Karnataka’s 30th district. The district’s administrative center is located at Yadgir Town. A total of 5,160.88 km2 (1,992.63 sq mi) make up the district.
Yadgir district has an abundance of traditional customs. The district’s extensive area of rich black soil is well-known for producing abundant jowar and red gram crops. The district is the state’s Daal bowl. A number of cement factories and a unique stone known as “Malakheda Stone” are other notable features of the region.
