Punalur is a municipality located in Kerala, India’s Kollam district. The Punalur Taluk and Punalur Revenue Division have their headquarters there. It is located on the banks of the Kallada River and in the foothills of the Western Ghats in the eastern region of Kerala’s Kollam district. It is roughly 68 kilometers (42 mi) north of Thiruvananthapuram and 45 kilometers (28 mi) northeast of Kollam.
