One of Madhya Pradesh’s fifty-two districts is Guna district, located in central India. Its administrative center is located in Guna. 1,241,519 people call the district home, according to the 2011 census. Its 6390 km² of territory is bordered to the northeast by the Shivpuri District, to the east by the Ashoknagar District, to the southeast by the Vidisha District, to the southwest by the Rajgarh District, and to the west and northwest by the districts of Jhalawar and Baran in the state of Rajasthan. The Parvati River flows northwest across the southern part of the district, forming part of the boundary with Baran District before entering into Rajasthan, and the Sindh River flows northward along the district’s eastern side, creating a piece of the boundary with Ashoknagar District.
