Mhow, also known as Dr. Ambedkar Nagar, is a town in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, specifically in the Indore district. On the historic Mumbai-Agra Road, it is situated 23 kilometers (14 miles) southwest of the city of Indore, heading towards Mumbai. The town was renamed Dr. Ambedkar Nagar in 2003 by the Madhya Pradesh government in honor of political reformer and local native B. R. Ambedkar.
