Achalpur, a city and municipal municipality in the Amravati District of the Indian state of Maharashtra, was earlier known as Ellichpur and Illychpur. It is the seventh most populated city in Vidarbha and the second most populous city in the Amravati District, behind Amravati. The camp at Achalpur is called Paratwada.
