In the Raigad district of Maharashtra, India, there is a municipal council and a seaside city called Alibag, often referred to as Alibaug (Pronunciation: ). Located south of Mumbai, it serves as the Raigad district headquarters. Alibag is located roughly 96 km from Mumbai and 143 km from Pune. It is a part of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Alibag is regarded by Goddess Shree Padmakshi Renuka as a sacred site. She is often referred to as the Konkan deity.
