Located on the banks of the Bori River, Amalner is a town and municipal council in the Jalgaon district of Maharashtra, India. The Wipro firm was founded in Amalner, where it began by making vanaspati ghee from sunflower seeds.[1][2][3] Amalner is a Jalgaon district tehsil.

Amalner is located between Surat and Bhusawal on the Western Railway. Amalner has excellent access to both the Western and Central Railways via Surat and Jalgaon/Bhusaval.
