The Indian state of Maharashtra is home to the city of Nashik in its northern section. located alongside the Godavari River. With a population of almost 2.2 million, Nashik is one of the Indian cities with the greatest rates of population growth. Nashik is situated roughly 210 kilometers (130 km) north of Pune and 165 km (103 mi) northeast of Mumbai, the state capital. The “Golden Triangle of Maharashtra” is the region that consists of Mumbai, Pune, and Nashik. With over half of India’s vineyards and wineries situated here, Nashik is known as the “Wine Capital of India” and the Napa Valley of India due to its high agricultural output. Approximately 90% of India’s wine is produced in the Nashik Valley. One of the Hindu pilgrimage places in Nashik is the  Kumbh Mela, which is held every 12 years
