Nagpur (pronounced [naːɡpuːɾ]) is the third-largest city in the Indian state of Maharashtra, after Mumbai and Pune.It is known as the heart of India because of its center geographical location. It is the largest and most populous city in Central India. Nagpur, sometimes known as the “Orange City,” is India’s 13th largest city by population. According to an Oxford Economics analysis, Nagpur is expected to be the world’s fifth fastest expanding metropolis from 2019 to 2035, with an average growth rate of 8.41%.It has been recommended as one of the Smart Cities in Maharashtra and is one of the top ten cities in India in terms of Smart City Project implementation.
