Maharashtra state in India contains the district known as Sangli district. Sangli city serves as the district office. Its borders are as follows: to the north are Satara district and Solapur district; to the east are Karnataka state and Kolhapur district; to the west are Kolhapur district and Ratnagiri district, with a thin strip on the east side. It is located on Maharashtra’s southernmost point.
