One of the 16 districts of the Indian state of Manipur, Churachandpur District (pronounced Meitei) is primarily home to Kuki-Zo people. The former Manipuri Maharaja Sir Churachand Singh is honored by the name. The town of Churachandpur, also called Lamka locally, is home to the district headquarters.
