One of the eleven districts of the Indian state of Mizoram is Saitual. On June 3, 2019, Saitual District commenced its operations.

Saitual District need began to emerge around 1974.In 1993, the Citizen Committee was founded. A full-fledged district was demanded through demonstrations organized by the Saitual District Implementing Demand Committee, which is made up of a number of civil society organizations[3].[4] On September 12, 2008, Saitual District was formally established
