Balangir District, often spelled Bolangir District, is a district situated in Odisha state of India. 1,648,997 people live in the district, which has a land area of 6,575 km2 (2,539 sq mi) according to the 2011 census. The district office is located in the town of Balangir. The majority of the land is made up of rural areas. Titlagarh, Patnagarh, Kantabanji, Loisingha, Saintala, Belpada, Tushra, Agalpur, Deogaon, Chudapali, Biripali, Bhalumunda, Bangomunda, Sindhekela, Kansil, Turekela, and Muribahal are the other significant big and minor towns in the Balangir district.
