The northern Indian state of Punjab includes the Sangrur district. The district office is in the city of Sangrur. It is one of the five districts that make up Punjab, an Indian state, Patiala Division.[1] The districts that border each other are: Fatehabad (Haryana) and Jind (Haryana) (south), Mansa (southwest), Barnala (west), Patiala (east), and Malerkotla (north).

The cities of Dhuri, Lehragaga, Sangrur, and Sunam make up Sangrur. Bhawanigarh, Dirba, Khanauri, Longowal, Cheema, and Moonak are the other cities. Sangrur, Dhuri, Sunam, Lehragaga, Moonak, Bhawanigarh, and Dirba are the seven sub-divisions.
