One of the 50 districts of the western Indian state of Rajasthan is Chittorgarh. The district’s administrative center is located in the historic city of Chittaurgarh. On August 1, 1948, the district was created by uniting parts of Mewar, Pratabgarh, Tonk, and Jhalawar, four princely states. Reputable Rajput families have called Chittaurgarh home for centuries, thanks to the Chittor fort.
