The district of Sanchore is located in the western Indian state of Rajasthan. The city of Sanchore serves as its administrative center. The district split off from the Jalore district to become one of Rajasthan’s 19 new districts on August 7, 2023. The district’s predominant and largest ethnic group is Meghwal. There are sizable Bishnoi, Anjana, and Rajput populations in the district as well.
