The Indian state of Telangana has the district known as Nalgonda. With 31 mandals, Nalgonda district has the most mandals in the entire state.[2] The district borders the state of Andhra Pradesh as well as the districts of Suryapet, Rangareddy, Yadadri, and Nagarkurnool. With a total area of 7222.78 km2, Nalgonda is the state’s largest district in terms of area.
