Ramagundam is a city in the Peddapalli district of Telangana, India, administered by the municipal corporation. It is the district’s most populous city, falling within the Ramagundam revenue division. It is situated along the banks of the Godavari River. According to the 2011 census, the city had a population of 229,644, making it the sixth most populated in the state, with an urban agglomeration population of 242,979. It is located approximately 225 kilometers from the state capital, Hyderabad.
